Today, Nea Diagonios is located in Eastern Thessaloniki, in a bright and understated space overlooking the sea. The architecture and atmosphere reflect the same philosophy as the cuisine: simplicity, quality, and balance.
Our goal is not to impress, but to remain consistent and to evolve. Nea Diagonios continues to be a place of hospitality and meaningful gastronomy, honoring its past while moving forward with clarity and purpose.

History

1976
“Diagonios” had been operating in the city center since 1976, founded by the parents of the current owner.
2009
Since February 14, 2009, a “new” dining destination has opened in Thessaloniki: Nea Diagonios, located on Themistokli Sofouli Street in Eastern Thessaloniki.
Sustainability
We focus on seasonality, work closely with trusted producers, and ensure thoughtful use of every ingredient.
By reducing waste and managing our resources with care, we aim to create a cuisine that respects people, place, and continuity.
