AUTHENTIC FLAVOR

INGREDIENTS
1 kg pork
30 g olive oil
1–2 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp red pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder (or 3 cloves of garlic)
1 tbsp onion powder (or 1 onion into slices)
2 tbsp oregano
TO SERVE
Souvlaki pita bread, cooked
Greek tzatziki sauce, mustard
tomato slices, onion rings
parsley, French fries
METHOD
- First cut the meat into thin slices and then gently pound with a wooden mallet to soften the slices. Work until very thin and set aside.
- Place the olive oil, mustard, salt, paprika, pepper, garlic, onion, and oregano in a bowl and mix well.
- Mix the meat with the spice mixture and place in a pan.
- Fry while stirring until done.
- To serve, first spread the tzatziki sauce on the pitas along with the mustard, then add the tomato slices, onion rings, parsley and fries along with the meat and serve.
